Speedster Clinic - Pre A Coupe
IVA test - I have built the car with IVA in mind and have gone through an initial test but failed on noise so I am looking to get it re-tested.
Chassis - Speedster Clinic Deluxe chassis with modified front end to accept Red9 Design front suspension.
Front Suspension - Red9 Design double wishbone suspension with Spax adjustable coil-over shocks (I may add an anti-roll bar as a future project).
Rear Suspension - Red9 EZ Rider rear coilover suspension with Spax adjustable coil-over shocks and Cool Rydes kafer bar (triangulation bar).
Front Brakes - Porsche 944 vented discs with Porsche 944 ATE calipers using EPYTEC hubs that fit the beetle spindles on the Red9 suspension.
Rear Brakes - Porsche 944 vented discs with Porsche 944 ATE calipers.
Brake Servo - Car Builder Solutions dual circuit servo with Audi A4 vacuum pump.
Gearbox - Beetle IRS gearbox with 3.44 diff rebuilt by John Walklett with welded 3rd and 4th gears.
Engine - VW type 4 engine 2056cc with Keith Black Pistons, WebCam 494, fully balanced, 42 x34 big valve heads, Emerald ECU, Jenvey 42mm Throttle Bodies, CSP Upright Conversion, Modified Vintage Speed Exhaust with single oval outlet.
Heating - Eberspacher Audi A8 block heater linked to unknown heater matrix.
Interior - Mazda MX-5 Mk2.5 seats with diamond-stitched leather covers and bespoke interior to my own design, re-covered 356 rear seats, Autometer gauges, roll hoop triangulated to chassis.
Exterior - Mercedes AMG Satin Grey paint, close-fitting bumpers, 3D-printed Pre A bonnet handle, all exterior trim in satin black Cerakote.
Wheels and Tyres - Porsche 944 10-hole space savers 16 x 5.5 with Bridgestone 175/60 x 16 tyres.
Build time - 7 years.
