Felbridge - Surrey

As I had been a British Airways engineer for 30+ years and like a challenge I decided to build a car!!

Having seen a few Chesils at car shows and being a Porsche fan, this ticked the box for me.  I started it in 2017, taking two years to complete.  Luckily it passed its IVA test just before Covid.  The car has a 1641cc engine with twin Dellorto carbs, freeway flyer gearbox, IRS, heated seats and screen.

 

My aim was to make it as near as possible to an original Speedster within my budget.  

 

I chose to paint the car Aquamarine Blue as it’s a 1957 Porsche 356 Colour.
